How do I upgrade to Industry 4.0?
Wikipedia describes Industry 4.0 as follows: “Industry 4.0 is a name for the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, cloud computing and cognitive computing.” How does this differ from past trends like Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and Quality by Design (QbD) and how do we as chemometricians contribute to the development of tools for Industry 4.0? In DSK we have gathered a number of specialists and service providers within the area in order to try to answer these questions. We have invited Steve Holroyd from Fonterra (New Zealand), the World’s largest processor of dairy products, to provide us with an industrial perspective on Industry 4.0.
10:05-10:35 Brian Vejrum Wæhrens (Aalborg University) - "A historical introduction to Industry 4.0 and next steps for Danish manufacturing research and practice"
11:35-11:05 Steve Holroyd (Fonterra, NZ) – “Industry 4.0 – a Fonterra perspective”
11:35-12:05 Frans van den Berg (Copenhagen University) – “Industry 3.9 ± 1.1 n=5,α=0.05 – an industrial data analysis and statistics perspective”
12:05-12:25 Marie Sørensen (AnalyticTrust) – “Data Veracity – Do you trust your analytical data?”
