Meet IDA Global Development and Engineers Without Borders
IDA Global Development, formerly The Society for International Development (Ulandsfagligt Selskab) and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) are pleased to announce a meeting to present the two organisations and their activities and to inform, inspire and enlighten participants with an interest in sustainable development about how they can use their skills and competences in development work.
The meeting will be conducted in English.

17:00 - 17:30 Welcome and short presentation of IDA Global Development by Troels Stru Schmidt, IDA Global Development and Engineers Without Borders by George Garbutt, Chairman Copenhagen Chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
17:30 - 18:15 The Engineers Without Borders Palestine Project by Eng. Ahmad Ghayyada, Renewable Energy Specialist, Hebron University, Palestine and Eng. Hanan Taha, Chairwoman, Engineers Without Borders Palestine.
Since 2009, the Danish organisation Engineers Without Borders has worked on the West Bank in cooperation with EWB Palestine on renewable energy projects, which will be presented by the two speakers.

18:45 - 19:30 Working with global/international development by Hans Peter Dejgaard
Hans Peter Dejgaard has worked with international development since he graduated as an engineer. He has worked for Nokia and he is a former chairman of the Danish NGO IBIS. He is presently doing consultancy work for Danida, SIDA and the EU, among others. He will present his experiences in international development, the present challenges for working with development, as well as his perspective on future work for professionals in international development
