Polymer Replication on Nanoscale
Injection molding is the preferred method to mass produce low-cost polymeric parts with high throughput. Functional nano-textured polymeric surfaces with self-cleaning, biological, anti-reflective or color effects are today mainly fabricated with state-of-the-art equipment at universities. The challenge is to transfer these methods to an industrial production environment. The scope of the conference is to present state of the art methods for injection molding of polymeric devices with micro- and nanotopographies and to discuss the industrial applications – from stem cell manipulation, to colorful decorations and self-cleaning containers.
