The course is based on a new, English-language book on Advanced Surface Technology which the course teachers are about to publish.
The book will be handed over to course participants. Course language: English.

Painting. Painting components. Production of paint, longevity.
Classification of types of paint. Paints for special needs and introduction to special application methods. Rust preventive coatings, shop primer, electrophoretic and chemophoretic coating, coilcoating, powder paint. Pretreatment. Painting specifications, corrosion classes, testing, environment, etc.

This two-day course is part one of a total course on two parts.
The second part which comprises surface technologies based on chemical and electrochemical processes, thermochemical diffusion processes, thermal spraying & Hardfacing, etc. will be announced separately.
