Starting a tech company – obstacles and how to overcome them
On April 26 IDA organized the event: Starting a tech company – obstacles and how to overcome them. We invited three tech entrepreneurs to give insights and hands-on knowledge about starting a tech company and facilitated a discussion around technology and entrepreneurship.
The event was made in collaboration with Women in Tech and Codher.
Marie Kjær Hansen, CEO & Founder of Plan Penny
"Challenging the status quo while staying true to yourself": Marie will talk about the challenges of staying true to her vision when starting her own company, how easy it has been to be misled by well-intended, but bad advice. And she will tell you, why you probably shouldn't follow the recipe for success, even if you are lucky enough to find it.
Dorte Sejthen, CEO & Founder of Filihood
"Taking the leap of faith": Dorte will give you a personal and different story about turning down a well-paid job offer, and instead taking the leap, creating a tech startup without prior knowledge in that field. According to her, knowing what to do is important, but knowing what not to do can be crucial in the pursuit of success.
Pernille Andersen, CEO & Co-Founder of FeedsFloor
"Don’t start a tech startup": Pernille will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of starting a tech startup including the challenges she had with learning about technology and programming, getting children while starting a startup and the challenges of going global from day one.
Startup stories: En ingeniøruddannelse har vist sig at være den perfekte ballast for Marie Kjær Hansen, der er stifter af firmaet Plan Penny. Hør hvorfor i IDA Startup Stories.
Startup stories: Hvad gør man som studerende, når man er træt af slæbe rundt på sine bøger? Man udvikler en digital distribution af studiebøger, hvor læring og tidssvarende teknologier tænkes sammen på ny.
