Thomas B. Moeslund from Aalborg University, Denmark has been with the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems for 10 years.

The International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (IJARS) was established in 2004. From the very beginning the journal’s mission was to provide the most innovative research and application output in robotics, featuring both established roboticists and younger researchers trying to make a name for themselves.

The final goal of the first Editors-in-Chief was to support robotics communities with scientifically relevant content to be read and shared for free. Until then, all robotics journals limited access to knowledge to only those who were able to meet the costs of journal subscriptions.
