James is a DevOps/Config mgmt. hacker and physiologist from Montreal, Canada. He often goes by @purpleidea on the internet, and writes "The Technical Blog of James". James works for Red Hat researching and prototyping around automation engineering. He started a Next Generation Config Management project called mgmt. James studied Physiology at university and sometimes likes to talk about cardiology.

Over the last 8 years, a research team spanning SRI International and the University of Cambridge have worked to develop the security-oriented CHERI computer architecture, which naturally mitigates software vulnerabilities through fine-grained memory protection and scalable compartmentalisation.
